Katie Whitton is a designer and illustrator based in Hertfordshire. After graduating with a 1st class Texiles degree Katie worked as a ladies print designer before becoming freelance. Since then Katie has worked for the Brooklyn Nest designing patterns for homeware, gifting and more, she has continues to design print for fabric, focusing on children swear as well as creating private commissions and developing her own brand and line of products. Her work is often inspired by walks with her toddlers and rescue dog through forests and meadows. Nature is a reoccurring theme in Katie’s work as are animals often led by her children’s interests as well as her travels. She enjoys using colour and working with different techniques and materials such as gouache, watercolour and pen. Katie creates designs for her own products as well as clients. She has enjoyed designing for Childrenswear, greetings cards, homeware, and much more.
